Today I thought I would share with you a little bit of inspirational artists/photos. The first on the list is my little sister of course. As you can see above Lily surrounds herself with colorful and exotic colors, shapes, drawings, sketches, figures and fabrics. Stepping into her room is like stepping into her mind.
She has deep purple and red walls covered in everything from vintage records to personal paintings. her ceilings are also covered in about 40 different scarves, Her room is a little bit messy here (although you might not be able to tell).
Every time I come into town I hang out in the back of lily's room and paint or play with some clay. She literally has every medium you could think of, and all of the tools to create it. Metal, clay, glass, mixed media, jewelry, wire, fabric, its GREAT! Lily is oh so talented and I cant wait to she what she will be creating next.

Wow...I'm going to have to be honest and say I'm extremely jealous of your sister's room! I really wish my room looked this amazing when it's "messy!" lol
ReplyDeleteHonestly, my (not-so-secret-anymore) site is weheartit, tumblr, and flickr. I keep weheartit a secret, however, from my real life friends because...well, probably because I'm weird. But that's not the point. :P
Thanks for all the inspo...I feel a hankering to create today!
xo
Thanks so much for sharing those inspiration sites!
ReplyDeleteAlso your sisters room is amazing. Definitely a creative atmosphere to be in :)
hi! just dropping in from freckled nest, thanks for sharing the pretty inspiration!
ReplyDeleteyour sister's room is crazy amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh! Someone showed me Kate Bingaman-Burt's work before! I love it...I think she used to teach graphic design at Mississippi State. If it's the same person I'm thinking of, one of my friends had her as an instructor...and he bought my roommate one of her drawings!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an awesome room! And the rainbow roses are amazing. Great inspiration!
